A Canada-Wide Astrophotography Contest and Major Photo Exhibition. Open to Canadian Astrophotographers of all skill levels, with great prizes and a gala media event to top off the week of celebrations!
Sky-Watcher is pleased to donate a astrophotographic telescope for the winner of the contest.
SFU is holding a series of free, daytime astronomy workshops for grade-school students. These workshops provide students and their teachers with training in the use of telescopes, and in the basics of observing the Moon, planets, stars, and other celestial wonders. SFU is also hosting evenings of star gazing on campus and at many community locations (with their partners at the RASC - Vancouver Centre), where students, their teachers, and families can learn to use a telescope under the guidance of experienced astronomers.
Sky-Watcher is pleased to donate beginner telescopes and accessories for the grade-school students and teachers.
